Project Overview
The motive behind the KEDU study app prototype was finding out if there would be a market for a study tool, and the type of problems it would solve. We followed the user interviews process with students across campus to understand what students are looking for in a study app.
With so much data from interviews, we wanted to transform it into a format that a development team could work with. Starting by drawing important quotes from the interview transcripts, we could use them to guide empathy maps and theme extraction. With all of this in hand, we could condense 20 interviewed students down into three personas, each representing a core demographic we saw throughout the interviewing process.
Starting with low fidelity in the form of basic paper prototypes, we explored a few potential avenues with designs and layouts, before building full interactive prototype in Figma.
